The Alpin 2 - this really IS the choice of the champions! We were looking for a tyre to fill gaps not covered by the Alpin, but when we found this one, we realised quickly that it had some amazing properties for use on very hard tracks. This has been proven time after time, with the Alpin 2 outlasting its rivals as they quickly "go off" and lose grip on highly polished surfaces. This tyre, even though it is made in the softest Sportway compound available, keeps on working even when well worn, meaning that it is very good value for money and a tyre to rely on lap after lap! This was further proven in 2006 as 7 of the 10 Mens' National Champions won their finals on Alpin 2 tyres, followed by several ladies champions, the junior special champion and many British Autograss Series champions. Drivers also tell us that it works pretty well in intermediate conditions and on hard tracks that have been watered. The Alpin 2 is made in "X" compound (apart from the class one tyre 155.70R13 which is ALSO available in medium) meaning that it offers the best in supersoft rubber grip.
